Shooting Sunrise at Meili Xue Shan
Iconic mountains capped with snow and untamed by man. Of all the legends that circulate around the newly named Shangri-La county, the "Snow Mountains" known simply as Mei Li are easily the most convincing. Majestic peaks alter the weather and thrill the crowds. There are no certainties about getting clear skies for sunrise, but true landscape photographers are a patient lot anyway.
Angkor Wat and Siem Reap
Angkor is special. Crowded, popular, humid, hot and special. There are a lot of people who visit this place, but because it's special. It's one of those places that lives up to the hype. Hordes of tourists and scores of relentless souvenir sellers are the serious downside, have no doubt. But despite these impedances you can get great shots of the ancient ruins and contemporary culture.
Nepal Photography Tour
One of the most diverse and challenging tours I have ever organised, this non-trekking adventure gets up close and personal with holy men of Kathmandu, takes travellers into the pure air of the Annapurnas and rolls through the dusty streets of Newari villages in Kathmandu Valley. Sultry sadus, scenic mountains and the noble Newari.
Indias Jewell in the Junk Heap
The Taj Mahal is singularly stunning and you'd have to be made of marble to remain unmoved by it's beauty. The same cannot be said of Agra's rickshaw drivers and their eagerness to lighten your wallet.
What is Creativity
One of the greatest struggles we have as photographers is building our creative skills. For many of us it's hard to even define what creativity is. This feature is an attempt to give you a foundation to tackle creativity and some inspiration to build your own path.
