Maximum group size of 8
8 People / 8 Days
Limited group size to allow maximum opportunity for sharing of skills and ideas. We have a detailed program and extensive opportunities to practice new skills, with the camera and on the desktop.
Three Unique Habitats
From rainforest to reef and everything in between. Starting in Lamington NP we explore the junction between Australia's southern most tropical forests and the northern most sub-tropical. The famous O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat will be our base for our initial program, and a chance to get up close with the Regent Bowerbirds. Next is the coastal scrub and sandy inlets of Rainbow Beach and the Great Sandy Bay NP. A charter flight then takes us to Lady Elliot Island to meet wildlife above and below the water.
Tim Dolby is one of Australia's best bird guides and authors, with a sensational ability to locate birds and share their joy. Ewen Bell is your photographic guide and has been running bespoke photography tours since 2005. They share a love of birds and the wilderness, but combine different skills to deliver a unique workshop experience.

Photography for Travellers
Ewen's guiding principles are simple...
"Go slow. Get closer. Look for the light."
"Photography is about showing other people how to see, to share the beauty of life. It's not a job, it's a lifestyle. We only get one lifetime, one chance to add some light into the world. Photography competitions are mostly silly. Cats are excellent."
