Viltrox E-Z Autofocus Adapter
Sounded too good to be true, but this thing actually works. Tested with a handful of full-frame Sigma E-mount lenses on the Nikon ZR.

This is a super short review, for those folks wanting to use their E-mount lenses on a Z-mount camera. The Viltrox E-Z AF adaptor (Sony E-mount lenses onto Nikon Z-mount bodies) is very affordable, and does what it says on the tin. I tested a handful of my Sigma E-mount lenses and all of them worked nice. My testing used the following:

Nikon ZR
Sigma 20mm F2 DG Contemporary E-mount
Sigma 35mm F2 DG Contemporary E-mount
Sigma 50mm F1.2 DG DN Art E-mount

The adapter has a nice amount of resistance when fitting to the camera body. Not at all loose, not at all tight. Getting it on or off is smooth and trouble free. The lenses slip in nicely too, with a firm lock and no wiggle. The release on the adapter is easy to work, and lenses slide out without trouble.

The Autofocus performance on these F2 and F1.2 lenses was flawless. Felt just like they do on a Sony A7IV. The aperture adjustments on camera work without issue. It's completely transparent.

I paid AU$130 on eBay for mine. It's such a small bit of kit and yet does the job. It's pretty amazing to know you can bring all your existing E-mount lenses across to a new Nikon body, and save a bunch of money. It makes the pain of swapping to a new system much more tolerable. This one gets two thumbs up from me :)

Superb quality AF and Stabilisation from a modest sized design. This lens brings something very special to the L-mount lineup, and pairs wonderfully with cameras like the Leica SL3 or Lumix S1RII.
